Time: An Autobiography

I've come from infinity, and I still seem to be going
As long as there's existence, I'm still gonna be flowing
I'm every mans enemy, but I'm one you can't see
When you look forward to things, they have to happen over me.
I've influenced some of the best, helped them develop into men
If it wasn't for me, there'd be no "now" and no "then"
I've seen more than you'd imagine, because you can't imagine everything
I know everything that ever was, imagine the knowledge that I bring
Knowledge is an infinite thing, it exists because I do
Do you know the foundations of this word? No, but I do
Can you vouch for the earth's creation, or remember before it was
I watched as the world became, I developed the concept of was.
History is my last name, the future is me in a minute
There would be no present, if I didn't come up with it
I remember when it was a mystery how a human life began
But now you've learned science, and you're trying to clone men
Destruction and mankind, the two go hand in hand
It's a problem now, and it s been one since expansion began.
